How to store a Connect-A-Dock in winter?

If you are in Wisconsin, or another state where the water your Connect-A-Dock floating dock is in freezes during the winter, it is important to take precautions to protect your Connect-A-Dock modular floating dock system. The best approach will depend on whether your area typically experiences heavy ice movement or calmer, stable ice conditions. Below are some tips to winterize your Connect-A-Dock Modular Floating Dock.

How to store your Connect-A-Dock Modular Floating Dock in the winter:

  • Remove the Connect-A-Dock from the water.
  • The best practice is to store the Connect-A-Dock flat.
  • Store the Connect-A-Dock with the walking side up. Keeping the walking side up for storage decreases the risk of water and ice causing damage by getting into the underside cavities and vent holes.
  • If you store it on its side put it so the logo plate is facing upwards.
  • If you want to put it in a garage, shed or boathouse that works well too but isn't necessary.
